Force is on the hunt for a skilled and motivated NDT Technician to join our Forrestfield Components Workshop team. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of mining equipment through advanced non-destructive testing methods.

Working closely with the Workshop Manager and key stakeholders, you’ll inspect, assess, and report on equipment integrity - helping prevent failures, reduce downtime, and maintain the highest safety standards across operations.

What your day will look like:

  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on machine components to detect surface and subsurface defects

  • Select appropriate testing methods in line with industry standards

  • Compile detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate job records

  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams and stakeholders

  • Operate and maintain specialised NDT equipment

  • Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and compliance requirements

To be successful:

  • Level 2 Certification in:

    • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

    • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

    • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence

  • Strong ability to interpret technical documents and produce clear reports

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Confident communication skills with the ability to engage small teams

  • A proactive approach to safety and teamwork

Desirable:

  • High Risk Work Licence – Forklift
