About the Role

This opportunity is based in Port Hedland, home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia. This role is being offered on a residential basis working an even-time roster. In addition, other benefits include generous allowances, an attractive share scheme, annual salary reviews and a short-term incentive bonus. 

Working as an NDT Technician your responsibilities will include: 

  • Conduct non-destructive examinations and Inspection works
  • Analysis of all machine components for surface and subsurface cracks
  • Prepare and compile reports
  • Equipment maintenance & calibration
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, attention to detail and quality of work

Location 

In this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.  The 20,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities.

The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife.  Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.

About You

Our successful candidate will have the following:

  • Eddy Current Testing (Level 2)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (Level 2)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (Level 2)
  • Dye penetrant (Level 2)
  • High Risk Licences (Dogging, Forklift, Working at heights, EWP)
  • Current WA Drivers Licence
  • WA Radiation Safety Licence
