About the Role

To support growth and development within the industry, BMA’s Caval Ridge Mine are currently recruiting for passionate individuals to fill New to Industry Operator roles in our Coal Mining, Mine Services and Prestrip teams. We want to hear from you if you are looking to get a start in the mining industry as part of one of our world-class operational teams. In these roles, you will undertake training on site to enable you to competently operate equipment in an Open Cut Mining environment. These positions will be on a two-year fixed term contract with potential to apply for permanent positions upon completion of the required skills.

Roles will be Fly-in-Fly-Out & Drive-In-Drive-Out based at BMA’s Caval Ridge Mine Site, near Moranbah, Central Queensland on a 7/7 Roster. About You  

Successful candidates will possess the following:  

  • A genuine commitment to safety as a priority
  • Current drivers licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Motivated, enthusiastic individual who shows initiative
  • Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong people skills
  • Demonstrated reading, writing and computer skills advantageous (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Passion for continuous improvement to drive individual and team performance
  • Individuals with some mining experience or experience and operational skills from other industries (eg Civil and construction) are encouraged to apply
