Job Tasks and Responsibilities

What We’re looking For

We are on the hunt for motivated qualified  Mechanical Tradespersons who are interested in progressing their career in an underground mining environment. If you have a fitting & machining / plant mechanic/ Heavy Vehicle or like / motor mechanic experience with a genuine interest in underground mining, we would love to hear from you.

We will offer ongoing training to support you in the transition to underground mining and its equipment.

Reporting to the Mechanical Shift Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct effective maintenance and fault-finding work on Mechanical systems.
• Monitor Mechanical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
• Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.

Skills and Experience

Our Essential Criteria

• Relevant qualifications - Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
• Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Criteria

• Post trade hydraulics
• High Risk Work Licences
