The Nipper is responsible for assisting the Underground Jumbo Drill Operators to ensure that all tasks are carried out in a safe efficient manner.

Darlot Site Overview

With over a century of mining history, Darlot is a cornerstone operation of Vault Minerals Limited producing high-grade gold production. The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

Responsible for assisting the mining team to achieve daily operational targets while working closely with Jumbo drill operators to ensure that all tasks are carried out in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Safe transportation, delivery and set up of ground support and other jumbo development related activities in line with shift plan.
• Demonstrate good organization skills, understand the heading priorities, and work with the jumbo drillers to prevent delays.
• Set up development headings as per the Mining Instructions in a timely manner.
• Display a high level of standard to housekeeping within the work area, with LV and storage areas.
• Manage inventory of ground support in the storage areas and report to shift supervisor any concerns as soon as you become aware
• Provide reliable and accurate assistance and practical application to minimise down time and potential loss of production within the development mining team

About You:

• Previous underground mining experience preferred
• WA Driver’s License (Manual C Class)
•  Dangerous Goods & Security Card (DGSC)
