Job Responsibilities

The Macmahon Underground team are seeking Underground Nippers to work a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off Dayshift and Night Shift roster out of Perth to Boston Shaker. 
Position Details: 

• Ensure all necessary consumables are provided as and when required so the drill blast cycle runs in a smooth and systematic fashion;
• Minimisation of jumbo down time through regular servicing and minor preventative maintenance;
• Attainment of necessary skills to assist jumbo operator as required;
• Assists with face preparation for drilling;
• Assist jumbo operator who drills holes for the installation of rocks, bolts and mesh;
• Collect and deliver ground support consumables;
• Assist with installation of ground support;
• Collect and deliver minor maintenance consumables and lubricants;
• Conduct minor preventative and remedial maintenance;
• Install lifter tube to lifters;
• Remove all waste from work areas;
• Install mine services and ventilation as required; and
• Record all shift report data correctly and on time (i.e. delays, locations, directions etc.).

Essential Requirements: 

• Previous Experience working underground; 
• Current Manual Drivers Licence;
• Self motivated and energetic;
• Sound planning and organisational skills; and
• Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and Pre employment medical;
