Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the "King of the Hills” mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon have secured a 5-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 ltd, the mine will have annual production above 200kozpa, King of the Hills is Australia’s next major Gold Mine which will feature State-of-the-Art Technology 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Nipper on a 2:2 Roster to the Project:

Responsibilities will include but not limited to

• Attainment of necessary skills to assist jumbo operator as required
• Assists with face preparation for drilling
• Assist jumbo operator who drills holes for the installation of rocks, bolts and mesh
• Collect and deliver ground support consumables
• Assist with installation of ground support
• Collect and deliver minor maintenance consumables and lubricants
• Conduct minor preventative and remedial maintenance
• Install mine services and ventilation as required
• Record all shift report data correctly and on time (i.e. delays, locations, directions etc.)

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience;

• Previous Experience working underground
• Sound planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
• Physically fit for the demands of the role
