Seeking a duel trade Electrician and Refrigeration Technician to provide preventative maintenance requirements to our camp facility,

King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 7.5 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future.  KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia. 

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the  NPI Electrician and Refrigeration Technician is required to install, maintain and repair the electrical and HVAC systems and equipment across site operations and village/accommodation facilities.  

This position will be offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Ensure all electrical infrastructure is safe, reliable, and complaint with relevant standards to support operations and safe living environment. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, and reactive repairs on power distribution systems, lighting, switchboards, generators, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Provide a strong commitment to safety, adherence to electrical codes and regulations
  • Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge for each section of non-plant infrastructure (from camp through to bore fields).
  • Liaise with Stores personnel on electrical purchasing, inventory matters, and delivery timeframes, including any anticipated delays.
  • Report safety and environmental hazards to mitigate and reduce incidents. 
  • Prioritise and respond quickly to urgent breakdowns to minimise impacting production and safety.

About You 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Hold a current A Grade Electrical Workers License
  • Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 
  • Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) 
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the WA Office of Energy Electrical Requirements and WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post trade qualification experience 
  • Previous non process infrastructure experience is highly regarded 
  • Full Australian work rights with no limitations 
  • Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class)
  • Current Australian National Police Clearance Check
