About The Role
The OccupationalNurse will support our business’s occupational health service (which is nearing its opening), whilst providing the ongoing delivery of pre-employment and health assessments for team members in the coal industry.  This important role is based in Gunnedah.  The town is a vibrant country town that combines its picturesque position on the banks of the Namoi River with a hefty dose of museums, memorials, and culture. Gunnedah’s population is approximately 12,000 people, and the town has all the services you would expect from a large regional centre, including major grocery stores, music venues and hotels, schools, healthcare, sports and recreation centres and restaurants.  Surrounding towns offer an enviable relaxed lifestyle and affordable living, full of warm welcomes and a wealth of opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for performance of the nursing component of Order 43 health assessments
• Conducting health assessments and health monitoring programs
• Organisation and delivery of routine flu vaccination clinics
• Responsible for ordering and securing clinical supplies
• Responsible for ensuring calibration and maintenance schedules of clinic equipment
• Assist in developing and managing clinical audit processes
• Assist in practice management of the health clinic
• Responsible for scheduling and administration of pre-employment medical assessments (including Chest X-rays and Functional Assessments), including early medical reviews.

What You’ll Bring

• Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
• Experience with occupational health assessments is desirable.
