About the role
We are looking for an Emergency Services Officer to join our team. As an Emergency Services Officer you will be responsible for providing emergency response and medical support to site-based incidents as required.

Reporting to the Supervisor Emergency Services, you will:
Respond to clinical treatments
Respond to incidents, maydays and medical emergencies
Responsible for transfers, medical, hospital and RFDS
Preparation for response, ERT, equip, fleet, checks, ER response planning and testing
Conduct mayday, alarm and communication checks
Recruit, train, equip, induct, onboard, mentor ERT
Fit testing support with OH team
Responsible for fire warden, evacuation drills and preparation
What you’ll bring:
Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent individual competencies)
Certificate in Alcohol and Other Drugs Collection
Proven leadership experience
Driver’s License – National MR class
High proficiency in computer and technology platforms
Previous responsibility for emergency services resources in the prevention of, preparedness for, response to and recovery from likely emergency situations
Experience in Incident Command, Business Resilience, and familiarity with Rio Tinto ES systems, including working knowledge of the GAP Portal and other dashboard platforms will be seen as advantageous
