Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for two HR Officers to join our team in Perth. Reporting to the Superintendents – People, these roles will be focused on human resources activities and administration.
With over 55 years of experience, Macmahon is a mining contractor with a unique capability of offering its clients surface, underground and mining support services.
The Perth office is strategically located at the Airport (T1/T2) and boasts an impressive staff gym with personal and group training, free secure undercover parking and electric vehicle charging stations.
The role
- Assist HR Advisors to provide accurate advice and attentive support on all HR/ER
- Assist with updating Employee Handbook and other HR essential reference materials
- Review and update EAP promotional documents
- Assist with updating Macmahon’s HR policies and procedures
- Manage the position description portal on SharePoint
- Assist HR Advisors to maintain accurate organisation chart within SuccessFactors
- Respond to routine employee and leader enquiries in relation to enterprise agreements, policies and procedures
- Schedule and conduct exit interviews
- Assist HR Advisors and leaders with workplace investigations, disciplinary actions and termination activities
- Assist leaders to create position descriptions
- Participate in weekly recruitment meetings with the corporate recruitment team
- Assist in the running of assessment centres
- Assist HR Advisors to implement retention and engagement strategies
- Assist leaders to track and manage absences
- Issue monthly reports such as; HR Turnover, HR Management, Disciplinary, Probation, End date notification, Exit interviews
- Issue excess leave reminders to managers every quarter
- Provide administrative support
- Respond to remuneration queries
- Support the Macmahon performance review process and development of plans for high potentials
- Assist HR Advisors to drive performance review activities
The ideal candidate
- Working towards or currently holds a Cert/Diploma or Degree in HR
- 2+yrs in an administrative position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
