Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a HR Services Officer to join the HR Services team in Perth. Reporting to the HR Systems Analyst, this role would suit an individual who is passionate about HR systems, data, policies and improvement.
With over 55 years of experience, Macmahon is a mining contractor with a unique capability of offering its clients surface, underground and mining support services.
The Perth office is strategically located at the Airport (T1/T2) and boasts an impressive staff gym with personal and group training, free secure undercover parking, and electric vehicle charging stations.
The role
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of new starter, employee transfer, termination and other employee process paperwork
- Review of and data entry of changes to employee salary, wages and/or working conditions
- Provide a high level of customer service when responding to email, phone and in person queries from Macmahon employees
- Maintain integrity of HRIS database (Chris 21)
- Ensure the provision of accurate and legally compliant advice on human resources matters, company policies and procedures
- Review and updating of HR policies, processes and procedures in line with legislative changes and benchmark HR practices
- Delivery of well researched, value-adding high standard project work
- Provision of accurate review of and data entry of changes to employee salary, wages and/or working conditions.
- Maintaining and updating of Macmahon Human Resources related policies and procedures
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly human resources reports (Probation, exit data, turnover)
- Provision of human resources support to corporate staff
- Ad-hoc projects as directed by the HR Services Manager
The ideal candidate
- Progress towards or completion of Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
- Previous HR administration and/or payroll experience
- Previous customer services experience
- Microsoft office to intermediate or higher standard
- Experience using HRIS systems (Chris 21 preferred)
