A key part of the role will require you to support the technical, compliance and process coordinating activities of the Supervisor and/or Superintendent in Fixed Plant Shutdown. Working an 8 days on, 6 off roster (with the occasional requirement to work night shift), and reporting to the Supervisor - Plant Shutdown, the role will require you to:•    Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures •    Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations •    Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices •    Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties Provide appropriate coaching, mentoring and technical support to the Fixed Plant Maintenance and Shutdown teams•    Develop isolation permits•    From the Shutdown scope, develop a shutdown isolation permit plan and schedule effectively resourced and sequenced to minimise delays and impact to both the shut duration and work front interfaces•    Manage the sites task isolation database and system including the approval and review of task isolation procedures•    Maintain integrity of task isolation system•    Adhere to the Shutdown Procedure in terms of isolation requirements for shutdown work 

What you’ll bring     

•    A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)•    Relevant trade qualification (mechanical, electrical, fabrication)•    Isolation Qual and HV Switching (highly preferred)•    Current Working at Heights and Safe Work in Confined Space (preferred)•    First Aid, LV Rescue and Radiation Officer (preferred)•    Expert in all types of isolations, issuing permits and authorisations•    Understand current SOPs fixed plant maintenance shutdowns plans•    A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
