Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

Work Location: Hazelmere Distribution Centre

Roster: Monday - Friday

Role overview:

The Logistics Officer is responsible for processing logistics requests and overseeing stock movement within the Fortescue network.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Liaising with all stakeholders internal and external to ensure the timely movement of all materials and equipment.
  • Liaise with Internal and External stakeholders to ensure the receipt and despatch of priority and shutdown freight.
  • Consolidation of freight requests to reduce overall freight spend.
  • Ensure all shipments (road and air) are compliant with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and other transport statutory regulations.
  • Set the standards for ensuring the most cost-effective rates with the appropriate mode of transport, meeting the customer’s Required Delivery Date (RDD), for every transport request.
  • Responsible for after-hours calls on a rotational basis 

Qualifications and skills required:

  • The successful candidate will display key attributes:
    • Prioritisation of tasks,
    • Analyse data and task relationships,
    • Work with minimal supervision,
    • Strong transactional use/understanding of SAP
    • Use of MS Office with excel spreadsheet creation/analysis via pivot tables.
  • Understanding of quality management principles,
  • Experience working with dangerous goods (Air and Road), Oversize/heavy haulage, Line Haul and CoR preferred
  • Experience in International Logistics and Supply chain continuous improvement roles preferred
