Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Open Cut Examiner/Supervisor to support our Mining Team on site. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes.  This role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• The safety and health of all persons and equipment in and around the mining operation
• Provide visible leadership and direct the Mining team to achieve agreed KPI’s
• Working closely with dispatch, production crews and drill & blast to ensure short-term prioritisation of tasks are identified and completed
• Strong commitment to identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities and be accountable for the development of an efficient production team.

Requirements of the role include:

• Open Cut Examiner’s qualification
• S123 & G2
• Queensland Drivers Licence
• Extensive experience and knowledge of tuck shovel mining practices
• Thorough understanding of mine monitoring control systems.
• Proactive attitude towards safety, strong leadership abilities and be a team player who thrives on collaborating with your team and leadership.
• Previous open cut mining experience
