About The Role
At BMA, we are seeking an exceptional operating system improvement BOS Manager to champion the BHP Operating System (BOS) and drive sustainable, enterprise-wide transformation. This is a key leadership role designed to embed BOS principles across all levels of our operation, enabling exceptional outcomes in safety, productivity, and culture.
Opportunities are available in both Brisbane and Moranbah where our coal mines are based.
As the Manager of our operating system BOS, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure our operating system is consistently adopted and applied, turning business strategy into actionable operational plans that deliver real value.
In this role, you will:
• Partner with the General Manager and senior leaders to embed BOS principles and build organisational capability.
• Use data to visual storytelling and impactful narratives to align teams and inspire change.
• Develop integrated change management strategies, prepare teams for adoption, and overcome resistance with strong stakeholder engagement.
• Plan, deliver, and track initiatives that create measurable value and operational improvement.
• Identify and implement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and cultural excellence.
• Lead strategic improvements with enterprise-wide impact.
• Build capability in a dynamic, inclusive team environment.
• Play a critical role in shaping the culture and future success of the asset.
About You
We are seeking a Manager who is passionate about driving meaningful change, building capability in others, and fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation.
You will bring:
• A degree or professional qualification in business, engineering, or a related discipline is highly regarded
• Proven leadership capability with the ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams
• Experience leading system-wide initiatives or large-scale projects in complex organisations
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and organisational change practices
• Experience in Autonomous Mining, or in industries that utilise operating systems founded on lean principles
• A passion for diversity of thought and creating an inclusive team culture where everyone can thrive.
