About the Role

This role is fly in fly out from Perth on an 8/6 roster support Eastern & Central Pilbara operations.     Reporting into the Site Supervisor Mining Systems WAIO, you will be responsible for supporting high availability critical Operation Technology systems.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitors system performance and configuration management, resolves issues and implements required updates 
  • Installs, operates and maintains sensing, measurement and actuation devices that collect the necessary data to enable the successful functioning of automated solutions across BHP.  
  • Develops, commissions and maintains high performance fleet/traffic control systems to control mobile and fleet systems (e.g. drill rigs, surface mining equipment, marine) 
  • Provide configuration support with the delivery of new equipment
  • Installs, conducts verification/functional testing and regular post-installation calibration of automated equipment 
  • Develops safety requirements specifications, defines and implements safety lifecycle management strategies.   

About You

  • Trade/Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Communications/Electronics/Industrial Electrical. 
  • Good Experience in maintaining and supporting IT/OT such as Fleet Management Systems - MineStar & Modular, WIFI, LTE & WTS Networks, Digital Radio Systems and Onboard Safety Systems – CAS & DSS
  • Experience in ServiceNow and SAP tools id desirable

Desirable but not essential: 

  • ACMA Open Cabling Licence with F, O, C Endorsements
  • Certificate lll in Telecommunications
  • Cisco CCNA certification
