About the Role

BHP Technology is looking for a Supervisor for our Technology Site Operations team to work at our Broadmeadow Mine Site in Queensland. As OT Supervisor, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and technical field support provided for the mine sites Operational Technology Systems.

The role is a Full Time position with BHP on a DIDO/Residential role on a Monday to Friday (5/2) roster. 

Reporting to the Superintendent Technology Operations, your key accountabilities will include: 

  • Site Responsible Person for Technology resources on site (permanent and contractors) and ensures all personnel work within Safe Systems of Work in a changing work environment
  • Manages and coordinates tasks and resources available to ensure incidents and events can be resolved in accordance with the business priorities/expectations
  • Broadmeadow Mine supervisor has a hands on component and will have a higher focus on: network switches, servers, applications and End user computing solutions. Service Now being the work management software application.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Outbye, production, remote teams (applications/networks/hosting) and vendors) to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the technology environment to support business systems/operations including: IT/OT networks, WiFi, digital radio, wireless telemetry, servers, applications, CCTV, Physical access management systems, Multi media and desktop end user compute.
  • Works with the Technology Standards team, Project Managers and Site Engineering to facilitate site based project activities to ensure safe execution of work and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Investigate/Scope requirements for project work installations. This work is to follow site and Technology processes; Management of Change, Technolgoy standards, Funding approval, Drawing updates, Master data submission, commissioning, documentation, site communications and training.
  • Acts as the escalation contact for Technology site operations issues.

About You

  • Strong experience in process control, IT and OT networks, Wireless technology, digital radio and end user computing. 
  • A trade certificate / tertiary qualification in IT/Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics or similar discipline, is a mandatory requirement for this role. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups at all levels. 
  • Experience with Service Now (SNOW) Work Management or SAP and cost-control will be well regarded. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Proven Safety leadership skills and a C class driver’s licence are required for this position.
