About the role

As the Operations Coordinator Coal Clearance at Appin Mine, you will deliver the Weekly Plan through developing and executing the Daily and Shift Plans for the area. You will also support the objectives and strategies of the Superintendent Coal Clearance’s 13-week schedule.

Accountabilities

• Lead, engage, coach, and manage a team of 43 coal clearance operators to ensure they perform to company expectations
• Develop and execute the Coal Clearance operator Daily, Weekly, 13-week & 2-year plans, aligned with Coal Clearance Improvements
• Management of conveyor defects tags
• Management and maintenance of conveyor rollers & structure stock levels, aligned with KPI’s and the department budget
• Ensure all execution activities are conducted safely and cost effectively

About you

• 4+ years’ experience in coal mining, preferably underground
• Supervisory and contractor management experience
• Deputy ticket desirable but not essential

Location

This position will be based at the Appin mine which is in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
