Ulan Underground is an established, efficient and high production underground longwall coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW. With state-of-the-art mining equipment, the latest technologies, and best in class safety practices, we are leading exporters in thermal coal.
 

Reporting to the General Manager of Ulan Coal Mines, your responsibilities include overall management of the operation to safely achieve annual budget performance; providing visible and effective leadership toward high standards and performance, and guidance to your management team.

You will work closely with site and executive management teams to maintain regulatory compliance and continually improve the financial position of the business and all associated activities. To be successful in this role, you will be commercially astute, have extensive leadership experience in underground coal mining and a proven track record in developing teams, whilst implementing reliable, high performance production and safety strategies. 
 

As an individual with energy, resilience and strong leadership skills who is prepared to challenge the norm, you will drive safe and efficient operations to a high standard.


Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
