The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our Contract Mining division. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing multiple mining projects, ensuring operational continuity, safety, and compliance while driving profitability and future growth. The Operations Manager will be pivotal in managing risks, optimising resources, and building strong relationships with clients to ensure the successful delivery of contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk and Safety Management: Oversee and manage safety standards across all projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in safety.
• Performance and Resource Optimisation: Manage project portfolios to deliver on budget and performance targets by optimising the use of equipment, people, and capital across projects.
• Client and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving to meet and exceed their expectations.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and mentor Project Managers, fostering a high-performance culture and developing talent within the team for long-term success.
• Commercial and Contract Management: Manage contractual obligations, amendments, and negotiations to ensure commercial success and identify future growth opportunities.

• Proven experience in operations management, ideally within the mining or resources sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop teams.
• A deep commitment to safety, with a track record of driving safety initiatives and compliance.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing contracts, budgets, and financial performance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage key stakeholders and clients.
• Experience in managing risks and implementing mitigation plans to ensure operational continuity.
