About The Role

The Resource Development planning and scheduling team are responsible for tactical and strategic drill planning, which includes scheduling of our exploration drilling and earthworks operations across the annual to daily planning horizon.
Reporting to the Superintendent Short-term Planning, the Operations Planner is responsible for the Governance and delivery of the 2 week planning and reconciliation processes for earthworks, drilling and rehabilitation operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Develop, own and effectively communicate quality short term execution schedules (2 weekly) for earthworks, drilling and rehabilitation to operations and technical scope owners.
Facilitate robust routines and reporting functionality to assist in inputting, aligning, measuring, conforming and reconciling 2-week monthly production schedules.
Facilitate and coordinate the escalation matrix for critical hold/decision points for plan execution.
Foster relationship with site schedulers and align quarterly production plans ensuring our activities are included within the Pilbara mines 2-week execution plan
Ensure flights and accommodation inputs are understood and confirmed for execution of the 2-week plan
Accommodation forecasting completed and constraints managed/escalated accordingly
Effectively manage interface and inputs from Site Scheduler to ensure inputting of actual time and physicals into Primavera 6 ResDev schedule occurs daily
Foster a plan-do-check-act culture in ResDev with particular focus on driving conformance to plan, tracking drivers of variation, incorporating improvement to future plans and driving the standardisation of leading practice in planning processes, systems and tools.
What you’ll bring:
To be successfully considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience working in integrated schedules (preferably Primavera P6)
Previous experience delivering short term plans preferably in a mine environment
Sound knowledge of planning and scheduling practices
Good understanding of operational environment and productivity drivers
Solid analytical, and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively influence, collaborate and negotiate

Where you’ll be working
In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integrated network of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.
This will be a Perth based role at our Central Park office in Perth CBD.
