About the role
We are looking for a Supervisor Operations to lead and engage a team of heavy haul Network Locomotive Drivers and Train Examiners across our Pilbara rail network in order to achieve safety and operational goals.
Our privately owned and operated rail network is an essential part of our integrated production process which services our 15 mines across the Pilbara via 1,700km of track, with depots located at Tom Price, Cape Lambert and Dampier (7 Mile). We operate 95% Autonomous trains; each train comprises up to three locomotives and 240 ore cars stretching to approximately 2.4 kilometres in length with average of 60 trains operating every 24 hrs in the pooled fleet system.
What you’ll bring
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to lead and engage a team of Network Locomotive Drivers and Train Examiners. This role reports to the Superintendent of Inland Rail Operations and will be offered on a FIFO working arrangement on a 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 off roster commuting to either our Tom Price or Yandicoogina hub.
The main duties of the role are:
- Driving a strong culture prioritising safety and inclusion over production
- Conducting in-field safety interactions and pre-start meetings
- Leading productivity improvement within the team
- Providing leadership to your team and engaging with them on a regular basis
- Developing and coaching the team to achieve business performance objectives
- Engaging and communicating with multiple stakeholders to align and deliver team objectives
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- WA "C Class" manual drivers’ licence
- Experience in a similar leadership role in the heavy haul rail industry
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement experience

Where you’ll be working
This role is offered on a FIFO basis from Perth to Tom Price or Yandicoogina, nestled in the Pilbara region of WA. Your roster will operate at 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off - even time & family friendly.
