Our Cadia operation in TRAINING & SYSTEMS is now recruiting for the position of OPERATIONS TRAINER

Cadia is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Employees reside in varied accommodation options in and around the district of Orange with the surrounding area’s occupied by wineries, stone fruit orchards, farming and national parks.

Who we’re looking for
As an Operations Trainer, you will provide, maintain and improve employee’s competency levels through training and assessment to assist Cadia in safely delivering on strategic site objectives.
You will Encourage Newmont’s safety systems to ensure positive communication and assistance is given to others when identified or needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out hands on Surface and Underground training using the approved training and assessment processes
- Maintain training and assessment material through the identification of any changes to ensure that material remains current.
- Support the introduction of new training techniques or processes (Paperless tools such as laptops etc.)
- Use “People Central” to complete training gap analysis against current role descriptions as per schedule and/ or training supervisors request to identify training needs for areas across site
- Maintain competency levels/ skills to self to ensure training and competency standards are met
- Carry out inductions to personnel as required, keeping to the designated induction days identified
- Liaise and plan training with Supervisors and/or training specialist to ensure training needs are being met within agreed timeframe
The ideal candidate will have a passion for compliance and process improvement and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You will also possess the following:
- Certificate IV Training & Assessment
- Experience in Surface & UG mining
- Open manual drivers licence
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- HRW -LF, EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space – Highly regarded
