The purpose of this role is to safely to safely execute maintenance work within the fixed plant as per SAP processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Supervisor Maintenance.

Location

Accountabilities   

Primary responsibilities are to:  

• Ensure compliance to the SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the SAP system
• Manage and assist work crews that are not familiar with fixed plant repairs as required (e.g. mobile maintenance)
• Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions as directed by the supervisor
• Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
• Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
• Understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to work tasks of the fixed plant
• Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment as per the SAP process
• Ensure returns of unused and reparable materials are processed accurately
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards and participate in workplace investigations or observations as required
• Support clearance to work process in fixed plant
• Operate skid steer and other equipment to facilitate clean up
• Assist with hosing and plant housekeeping activities

• Management of confined space, hot works and the isolation of plant and equipment
• Demonstrate commitment to safe work practices and procedures
• Demonstrates good leadership within the team
• Understands and drives productivity without compromising safety
• Challenges inappropriate behaviour or standards with respect
• Assists with training and supervision as required

Desirable Qualifications

• Exposure to fixed plant maintenance with a minimum experience of 1 year
• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency  
• Hold a current ‘C’ class driver’s license

Desirable

• SAP data entry, work order processing and warehouse functions knowledge
• HR Class Driver’s License
• High Risk Work License for Forklift
• Elevated Work Platform
• High Risk Basic Rigging
• Accredited Working at Height Training
• Accredited Working in Confined Spaces Training
• All types of instrumentation including control valves and positioners, variable speed drives, PLC and DCS systems and high voltage assets
