This role will report to the Supervisor Production Execution Mining. As the Operator Mine the purpose of this role is to execute operations activities as directed by the production supervisor and operate equipment in line with the production plan and targets for HSEC, cost, and volume and in accordance with BBM standards and operating procedures. This role is offered on a Fixed -term contract.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Execute the production mining and/or development activities according to the production plan as directed by the Production Supervisor.
- Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the operations standards and operating procedures.
- Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and hazards.
- Assist to develop and enhance work practices and procedures.
Machinery on Site:
Minimum 5years’ experience operating:
- Excavators – Hitachi EX2500 and EX2600 or similar
- Loaders – CAT 993K Wheel Loaders or similar
- Dozers – CAT D11 and Komatsu 475-5

- Hold a current C class licence.
- Demonstrated oral and written English language proficiency.
- Meets Defined behavioural and safety awareness expectations.
- Operational: Demonstrated contribution to a work team and leadership behaviours; contributed to projects.
- Technical: Significant exposure to production mining.
