 Who we are looking for

We have an exciting opportunity as a Control Room Operator supporting our Underground Mine Production Team. This role challenges you to be the eyes and ears above ground to help drive safe and effective production activities.

Key deliverables of this role include:

• Recording of information from underground operators using the system PITRAM
• Operate fixed plant equipment and mine services within operating limits under direction from Maintenance team and Management
• Log and coordinate communication to relevant personnel
• Coordinating and communication of the Daily Shift Plan
• Validating underground operator timesheets against recorded information
• Act as First Response to emergency radio calls for system tests and real emergency situations
• Monitoring of Underground tagging system

 To succeed in this role, you will be a natural team player, with good communication skills and a can-do attitude. You will be respected by your peers for your safety leadership and ability to make decisions in ambiguous and dynamic situations.

What we need from you:  

• Experience with PITRAM is highly desirable
• Mining experience within a similar role; FIFO experience essential 
• Efficient computer, data entry and administration skills
• Proven eye for detail and being able to multi-task especially whilst working under pressure

Please note: This is a permanent full-time role at our Telfer mine site, FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on /6 off/ 7 nights on and 7 off roster.
