About The Role
Our Narrabri underground coal mine has been operating since 2012 and employs around 500 people. The mine is approved to extract coal at a rate of up to 11 million tonnes of run-of-mine coal per annum of high-quality thermal coal. Our longwall is fully automated and is one of the most advanced in Australia. The region offers an enviable relaxed lifestyle, and affordable living. Narrabri is Australia’s sportiest town. What You’ll Do
As the successful applicant, you will provide underground operational support for the safe and efficient operation of mining equipment to meet production and budgetary targets. Our rosters run Mid-week and weekend day and night shifts.
- Operate plant and equipment where trained and authorised in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with relevant rules and procedures.
- Inspect and service equipment, and communicate the equipment status to all relevant personnel.
- Report all incidents, non-conformances, defects or hazards to the Deputy.
- Maintain the designated mine housekeeping standards.
- Participate under the direction of the Deputy in all operational tasks that you are trained and competent.

- Experience working at a development or longwall production face
- Statements of Competency
- First aid certificate (desirable)
- Current drivers’ licence
