The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to provide to safely execute production activities according to the schedule and operate the physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by HSEC requirements, the operations standards and operating procedures.

Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future. This role is offered as a 18 month fixed term.

Location

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Port Facility, which is located within the inner harbour, Bunbury

Most employees choose to reside in or near Bunbury and ideally live within an hour’s drive of the harbour.

Accountabilities 

Primary responsibilities are to:

• Execute port production activities according to the schedule
• and only where competent to do so.
• Understand port material risks and undertake activities to
• ensure critical controls are maintained in line with the standard.
• Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices.
• Assist in the development of and enhancement of work practices and
• procedures.
• Monitor plant operating conditions and equipment to ensure production
• targets are met and where required raise work notifications for necessary
• works.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards
• Understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to work
• tasks of the Production Execution sub-function and work to the prescribed
• performance standards and controls.

About You  

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an operator in a minerals/oil/gas process plant environment
• EWP, Dogman, HR, SCID, MSIC and Fork lift licenses would be desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working with rail or ship loading would also be desirable but not essential
• Possess a current C Class driver’s license
• Has previously worked in a team and has contributed to projects
