ABOUT CANNINGTON
 
Cannington is one of the world's largest and lowest-cost producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometers west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a permanent position reporting to the Supervisor Processing and is being offered on a 7/7 Thurs - Thurs roster, Fly-in/Fly-out from Townsville.
 
 
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
 

• Run various fixed Plants including, Crushing, Grinding, Floatation, Filtration, Reagents, Paste & Central Control
• Process Plant upkeep and housekeeping, taking densities/samples, cyclone rebuilds, routine filter cloth & sector change outs and other daily process tasks
• Monitor and respond to issues arising from the Citect operating system
• Meet Daily, Monthly and Annual Safety and Production KPI targets
• Able to take instructions from the control room operator, senior operators, plant metallurgist and your shift supervisor.
• To ensure the quality of the work and to achieve sustainable and consistent performance 
• To monitor the stability of production and the performance of any given area according to daily/weekly process operation parameters. 
• Manage Blood lead levels through good hygiene practices and PPE to meet site standards

 
 
 ABOUT YOU
 You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
 

• Previous process plant experience preferred (min 3 yrs)
• Working at Heights and Confined Space Tickets 
• QMS123 or equivalent 
• Operating mobile and fixed plant equipment which includes EWP, excavator, forklift, Skid Steers, and gantry cranes 
• Conducting routine inspections and tasks in your areas to maintain equipment in operational condition
• Participating actively in safety interactions and improvements 
• Self-motivated and improvement orientated with a “can do” attitude
• Ability to work as an active team member
• Current Driver’s License
• Experience with Citect (Scada) operating system, SAP, G360, Word and Excel preferred
