About the Role

Blackwater mine is seeking Operators within our coal processing plant.  Working a lifestyle roster including days and nights, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a coal processing plant, working to safely deliver coal to our customers.

  • Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Operating and monitoring the Coal Handling Processing Plant (CHPP)
  • Train Loadout and ROMs
  • Identifying hazards, damage, and defects
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the community, and the environment.
  • Working cooperatively within a team to achieve targets safely.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

Essential Competency and Authorisation in:

  • Coal Processing Plant
  • CHPP Train Loading Operations
  • Production Yard Operational Skills
  • Raw Coal Handling
  • Experienced in Operating and monitoring the Coal Handling Prep Plant (CHPP)
  • Identifying hazards, damage, and defects
  • Willingness to proactively contribute ideas to solve problems and improve existing processes and tools.

Additionally, desirable skills include:

Competency and Authorisation in the following:

  • D10/ D11 Dozers
  • Loader / Skid Steer
  • Medium Vehicles
  • CHPP Control Room Operation
  • Thermal Plant Operation
