About the Role
Daunia Mine is seeking an operator maintainer with proven experience to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation and maintenance of a coal processing plant, working across departments to safely deliver coal to our customers, thinking outside the box and looking to always improve the way we do things.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the community and the environment.
- Working cooperatively within a team to achieve targets safely
- Maintain a high-level working knowledge of safety processes.
About You
Reporting to the Supervisor Production Processing, the successful candidate will possess the following:
- Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification is desirable but not essential
- Experience as an authorised isolator within the mining industry is mandatory
- Trainer assessor and/or supervisor experience is advantageous
- Experienced in Operating and monitoring the Coal Handling Prep Plant (CHPP) including flotation
- Performing production tasks including but not limited to; inspections, trouble-shooting of production issues, machinery operation and cleaning activities to maintain housekeeping standards
- Unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s licence
- Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate into new teams and focus on teamwork
- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace including willingness to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with site procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Identifying and rectifying hazards, damage and defects
- Willingness to proactively contribute ideas to solve problems and improve existing processes and tools.
