Operates plant and blasting equipment (if applicable), including haul trucks, draglines, excavators, graders or dozers on a mine site.Key Accountabilities:• Operate various types of equipment to load, haul and dump materials in accordance with the work plans and within the operating capacity of the allocated equipment. • Obtain and observe work requirements and procedures for the allocated job. • Carry out standard pre-start, start-up, park-up and shutdown procedures. Monitor equipment operations and act on or report monitoring systems alerts and alarms. • Inspect equipment, report faults and carry out routine operator servicing, maintenance and housekeeping tasks. • Maintain and process records and reports. • Observe all legislative, organisational and on-site requirements and procedures in relation to production and operational safety requirements.Functional Area: Surface MiningThe surface mining functional area includes roles related to the way we plan, execute, and improve the surface mining process, as well as the way we manage surface technical risks.Job Family: MO_Surface Mine OperationsJob Family Description:Includes roles that are executing the mine plan to productively achieve targets and ensure safe mining operation.Band: OHas developed skills through formal training and/or related work experience. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision. Resolves issues with senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.Category: Technician
