This role will report to the Supervisor Production Execution Mining. As the Operator Mine the purpose of this role is to execute operations activities as directed by the production supervisor and operate equipment in line with the production plan and targets for HSEC, cost, and volume and in accordance with BBM standards and operating procedures. This role is Level 6 and offered on a Permenant basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Execute the production mining and/or development activities according to the production plan as directed by the Production Supervisor.
- Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the operations standards and operating procedures.
- Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and hazards.
- Assist to develop and enhance work practices and procedures.
Leadership
- Provide day-to-day leadership to work crew and peers, along with coaching and mentoring mine and ancillary mine operators.
- Assist to develop and enhance work practices and procedures.
Machinery on Site:
Minimum 5years’ experience operating:
- Excavators – Hitachi EX2500 and EX2600 or similar
- Loaders – CAT 993K Wheel Loaders or similar
- Dozers – CAT D11 and Komatsu 475-5

This role is based at the Boddington Bauxite Mine located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour). This is DIDO position as there is no accommodation available on site. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night. |

- Technical: Significant exposure to production mining.
