ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a DIDO from our Boddington Bauxite Mine, which is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour). We provide a bus to and from site for our Operations personnel.

We are seeking Senior Mining Operators- Large Excavator, Loader, Dozer, Grader and Mine Operators- Haul Truck/Water Carts.

The purpose of this role is to execute operations activities as directed by the production supervisor and operate equipment in line with the production plan and targets for HSEC, cost, and volume and in accordance with BBM standards and operating procedures.

Primary responsibilities are to:

• Execute the production mining and/or development activities according to the production plan as directed by the Production Supervisor.
• Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the operations standards and operating procedures. 
• Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and hazards.

ABOUT YOU

• Senior Mining Operators-Minimum 5 years’ experience operating: Excavators – Hitachi EX2600 or similar, Loaders – CAT 993K Wheel Loaders or similar, Dozers – CAT D11 and Komatsu 475-5 and large floats
• Mine Operators- Haul Truck Cat 777/785 or similar, water carts
• Demonstrates commitment to safe work practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates good leadership within the team.
• Understands and drives productivity without compromising safety
• Hold a current C class licence.
• Technical: Significant exposure to production mining
