ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 42 hours, day shift / night shift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine, which is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

This position is a drive in drive out role with no camp facilities, however buses do run from Mandurah and Armadale.

As an Operator Senior Mine, you will be responsible for executing operation activities as directed by the Mining Production Supervisor and in accordance with BBM standards and operating procedures.  

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Execute production mining activities including operational tasks related to production loading, operating graders, wheel loaders and dozer bench prep.
• Work with physical assets, plant, and equipment as defined by the operations standards and operating procedures
• Maintain effective communication of equipment status, adhere to defined standard procedures, and apply safe work practices
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazards

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Prior experience, minimum 2 years production loading or in a similar operational role within the Mining Industry.
• Demonstrated contribution to a work team and leadership behaviours  
• Understands and drives productivity without compromising safety
• Experience with any of the following equipment or similar: Excavator (Hitachi 2500,2600 & Cat 2000) Dozer (Cat D11 and/or Komatsu 475), Loader (Cat 992 and/or 993), Grader (Cat 24m and/or 16m), Cat785 Haultrucks.

Qualifications for this position are:

• Current C Class Drivers Licence
