Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.

Safely execute production activities according to the schedule and operate physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by HSEC requirements, the operations standards and operating procedures.  Additionally, support the production supervisor and assist in the coaching and mentoring to refinery process operators and trainees. This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.

Accountabilities 

Primary;

1.Receive handover

• Understands the condition of the asset and the work required for the day
• Question gaps and routines not done

2.Receive work assignment

• Understand scope and competency required, SAP operation long text, job hazards and timeframe.
• Provide guarantee for working safely.

3.Perform routines and escorts

• In accordance with Clearance To Work Procedures
• Proactive identification of emergent work through check sheets.

4.Executes work safely

• Understand root cause of emergent work.
• Follow procedures for tasks and identify improvements.
• Maintain housekeeping to standard.
• Execute work as per Supervisor work assignment.
• Report all incidents, near misses, equipment or plant failures and delays promptly.
• Capture transactional data about work performed and any subsequent work requirements.
• Ensure workshops, tool lockers and amenities are maintained in a clean state.

5.Handover to the next team

• Provide quality handover with Integrity.
• Sign handover log.
• Managers more advanced tasks such as shutdowns and other interactions between facilities
• Provides day-to-day leadership to work crew and peers, along with coaching, assessing and mentoring refinery process operators in areas of competence.
• Assist to develop and enhance work practices and procedures.
• Assists with training and supervision as required

About you

• Certificate III in Process Plant Operating
• Holds all area specific Clearance to Work requirements
• Holds all area specific CPK’s and APK’s
• Extensive exposure in the production/processing area working as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to safely lead team members through daily and emergent work
