OPF Improvement Specialist
Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the process plants operationally
- Prioritise current plant initiatives enabling maximising productivity of the current plants
- Engage senior leadership team to ensure business improvement objectives and initiatives are met
- Work closely with Demand Response and Asset Management teams to prioritise key capital projects ensuring alignment of cost and focus with Decarb and 18w shut strategies.
- Collaborate with front-line leadership team to manage current risks through coaching and support with current systems for both plant and safety, thus further enabling understanding of the green future and changes required concurrently.

- Review & development key culture improvements
- Weekly/Monthly OPF bottlenecking & efficiencies (Safety/Performance/People)
- ITR & BI Focus (Embed amongst entire Leadership Team)
- Department deep dives (safety/performance)
- Liaise & coordinate with stakeholders to achieve timely delivery of department nominated key performance indicators
Qualifications and Experience:
- OPF operations and maintenance experience preferred
- Leadership coaching and mentoring experience preferred
- Strong safety focus/experience
- Experience with business improvement and work management platforms such as Eureka, Anaplan, SAP
