ABOUT PERTH OFFICE

South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a 12-month Fixed-Term contract position with the option of working 3 or 4 days per week. This is a hybrid role with flexible working arrangements based at our head office in Perth.

The Organisational Capability team is accountable for providing global strategic oversight of end-to-end talent processes across South32 globally. This includes, but is not limited to, Employee Experience, Recruitment and Selection, Onboarding, Career Entry Programs, Talent Management & Succession Planning, and Offboarding.

Your role as an Organisational Development Specialist, is to support the design, delivery and governance of organisational capability owned processes and projects across South32 functions and operations globally. 

This is a blended role requiring a breadth of skill to be able to support the implementation, and embedment of practical solutions across geographies, cultures, and groups.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the design, delivery and governance of strategic initiatives across the end-to-end talent processes
  • Coordination of HR cyclical activities (e.g. Talent Management, Career Entry, Annual Employee Perception Survey)
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of key processes and programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive change management efforts and provide coaching and support to key stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ Organisational Development experience is preferred or equivalent HR generalist experience working across the full lifecycle of HR activities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Apply problem solving skills to diagnose issues, conceptualise and develop creative and workable solutions.
  • High attention to detail along with data and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business related areas; Organisation Psychology, Human Resources, Change Management
