About the Role
Based at our Narrabri Coal site, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. Narrabri offers a stable work environment, engaged leadership and a team culture where you can develop and grow.
What you’ll Do
Responsible for all aspects of outbye mechanical engineering services including managing the life cycle of the conveyor system, mine water supply, underground bin, mine air supply and mine dewatering system and mechanical infrastructure.
- Managing roadway service ability and secondary support activities.
- Assist with the development and mentoring of the outbye engineering team.
- Budget development and cost management.
- Meeting availability targets and continuous improvement.
- Developing continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering.
- Practicing Certificate; Mechanical engineering manager of underground coal mines will be highly regarded.
- Minimum of 3 years' previous experience in management of a similar process area or supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, best practice industry standards and risk management.
- Strong safety focus, high standards and engineering ability.
