Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Outbye Services Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic and motivated team.  The role will require you to:

  • Coordinate and manage outbye projects including installs, overhauls and upgrades of the mines conveyors, services (water and air) and other outbye systems.   
  • Assist with continuous improvement of the outbye Engineering infrastructure.
  • Have effective project management skills to ensure that the mines requirements are met with regard to installation of outbye projects on schedule.
  • Manage Opex and Capex budgets for outbye projects 

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering or project management.
  • Practicing Certificate: Electrical or mechanical engineering manager of underground coal mines will be highly regarded.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in management of a similar process area or supervisory role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, best practice industry standards and risk management.
  • Strong safety focus, high standards and engineering ability.
  • Persons that have a practical, team-based background and progressed their career to management level will be highly regarded.
