What does your daily life look like at Yancoal?
As a Paralegal/Legal Admin Assistant, you will be responsible to provide paralegal and administrative support to the Legal team within the Legal & CoSec team at Yancoal Australia.
Your responsibilities include
- Undertaking legal research as required;
- Assist and develop skills in simple legal tasks, including contract review/proof reading
- Assist with document and data management
- Assist with management of workers compensation/injury matters eg diarying subpoena and court dates
- Develop and maintain common legal precedents
- Monthly invoice cost briefing
- Supporting Board/Committee meetings, including translation of board documents, helping to collate and combine meeting papers
- Supporting Legal Compliance and IR functions on translation of emails to internal stakeholders, ASX releases, CEO message and other documents as required
- Corporate and ASIC records filing and group companies registers maintenance.
What do you need to be successful in the role?
To be successful in the role you will require the following skills & experience:
Qualifications:
- Undertaken legal studies
- Preferably Australian Law Degree and admitted to practice in an Australian jurisdiction
Experience:
- Administrative support
- Practical legal experience at junior level
Skills:
- Legal research and analysis
- Bilingual (Mandarin) required
