About the Role
Join our team as a Parts Consolidation Supervisor, where you will lead a team of Technicians or Operators in executing transport or logistics activities ensuring processes are consistently applied.
Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Superintendent Logistics & Mech Support, the main responsibilities of the Parts Consolidation Supervisor will include:
- Supervising technicians or operators involved in consolidating, organizing, and dispatching parts for various operational needs.
- Managing schedules to ensure efficient parts consolidation, minimizing delays in supply chain operations.
- Resolving on-the-job issues related to inventory discrepancies, order accuracy, and stock availability.
- Monitoring working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Driving continuous improvement by collecting and implementing feedback from the team and stakeholders.
- Recommending and/or initiating process improvements to enhance parts consolidation efficiency.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of consolidated parts to support inventory accuracy.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated leadership experience in parts consolidation, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Strong commitment to safety, ensuring compliance with PPE, risk assessments, and operational procedures.
- Proven ability to lead a team, foster a positive workplace culture, and drive operational efficiency.
- Experience in stock management, consolidation processes, and ensuring minimal rework in inventory handling.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar inventory and asset management systems.
- Ability to coach and mentor team members, driving performance and adherence to best practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, working across teams to streamline consolidation processes.
- A growth mindset, embracing training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Where you’ll be working
Our Weipa Operations includes three bauxite mines, processing facilities, ship loaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals. Located on the Western Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, each year the operation produces more than 35 million tons of bauxite.
Our operations are supported by a 1,900-strong workforce—including 26 per cent who are women and 25 per cent Indigenous employees. Activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, ports, cultural heritage management, and processing facility management.
The development of our new mine, Amrun, which was completed in 2018, will extend the life of our Weipa bauxite operations by decades to come and significantly build on our 55-year history on the Western Cape
