About Melrose and Tarmoola Stations:
Melrose and Tarmoola stations are located in the Northern Goldfields (Shire of Leonora), covering an area of approximately 400,000 ha. The stations are owned by Vault Minerals and run as operational cattle stations.

Job Description:

The role of Station Hand is a versatile role will and will require a range of skills, including general station duties, cooking, gardening, and maintaining equipment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a remote, outdoor environment and will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

This role will follow a "work as required" schedule, typically based on a 20 day on, 8 day off rotation. While additional hours may be required to meet station needs, accrued time off will be provided as needed.

This position would also be considered for a couple.

 Key responsibilities will include:

• Allrounder duties: Manage a variety of tasks including cooking, gardening, and general station hand responsibilities.
• Driving: Competent driving off-road, ensuring safe transport of materials and personnel
• Machine operating: Use of station equipment
• Mechanically inclined: Able to carry out basic mechanical repairs, including tire changes and maintenance on various station equipment.
• Station Maintenance: Assist with station upkeep, ensuring equipment and living quarters are well maintained.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key factors to your success include:

• 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• A strong commitment to safety
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination
• MC Driver’s License (desirable)
• Full Australian Work rights
