Position Title: Payroll Officer
Contract Length: 12 months, fixed-term
Work Location:
Fortescue Centre
- Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

8D/6R (10hrs) Perth
Role overview:
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing salaries and standard allowances, Change of Conditions, terminations and incentive payments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Federal and State legislation
- Administration and reconciliation of employee leave entitlements as well as employee deductions including payments to external parties
- Administration of employee superannuation in accordance with relevant legislation including remittance via web portal
- Maintaining confidentiality of payroll data with respect to privacy legislation
- Must be able to interpreted Awards
Education and Experience:
- Previous demonstrated experience in a similar Payroll Officer role with high volume data entry and validation
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
- Demonstrated commitment of customer service, confidentiality & continuous improvement
- Previous experience with SAP is highly desirable
- Previous experience in the Mining Industry / Resourcing Sector is highly desirable but not necessary
