The Emeco team are seeking an energetic, hands on Payroll Officer to join our team located in Osborne Park. This position is responsible for providing day to day payroll support for our corporate and regional operations.

About the Role 

The successful applicant will be required to complete the following duties:

  • Processing payroll from start to finish using Chris21
  • Setting up new starters and processing termination payments
  • Processing employee changes to entitlements
  • Entering of timesheets
  • Interpretation of multiple awards
  • Month end processes and reporting
  • Maintaining employee files and records in a number of systems
  • Reporting
  • Providing general support to the HR team

Your Skills and Experience

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment
  • Extensive payroll experience in a medium to large organisation (at least 500 staff) 
  • Good knowledge on PAYG tax and superannuation
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the confidence to work with all levels
  • High level attention to detail
  • Willingness and ability learn new systems and processes
  • Effective problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with conflicting priorities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and experience with HR information systems and tools
  • Experience with Chris21 payroll system - Highly Regarded
  • Able to work as part of a team and build inter-team relationships
  • Initiative, ownership, integrity, confidence and a can do attitude
