Shutdown People Logistics Officer – 12 month fixed term contract
Work Location: Fortescue Centre; Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Site travel is required during shutdown periods (approx. every 3rd swing).
Roster: 8D/6R
Role overview:
Fortescue’s People Logistics team requires a Shutdown Logistics officer to support the successful execution of Fortescue Shutdowns. In collaboration with site shutdown planning and execution teams, you will be responsible for the mobilisation, coordination of flights and administration of our contracting partners mobilising across Fortescue Sites for shutdowns.
Reporting to the People Logistics Shutdown Supervisor, this role is for an individual with exceptional customer service who is also able to work in a face paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mobilising and coordinating logistics for shutdown personnel
- Onsite support, when required to provide assistance to the Shutdown planning team.
- Booking domestic/commercial flights & accommodation across the business
- Responding to queries & requests
- Liaising with site departments and external contractors
- Processing all required data and ensuring data integrity and quality control
Education and Experience:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to continuously prioritise workload
- Professional, enthusiastic, positive and capable of working in a dynamic environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Adherence to safety guidelines and lifesaving choices
- Willingness and desire to learn with a view towards personal development
