Personal Assistant to the General Manager

Work Location: Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: 4D/3R

Supporting the General Managers at the Chichester Hub, this role is pivotal in providing professional, efficient and confidential administrative support that including diary management, travel logistics and organising meetings.

As the Personal Assistant you will be responsible for providing quality administrative and organisational support, working in a busy and dynamic environment. You will also be required to manage competing priorities whilst positively interacting with a variety of key stakeholders.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Support the creation, preparation and distribution of emails, reports, contacts, and presentations for internal and external use
  • Optimise and automate processes and policies to support our operations and the wider business objectives
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and presentations in collaboration with the Department Managers for the GM and the wider Leadership Team
  • Coordinate internal and external planning days and various team functions throughout the calendar year.
  • Coordinate all site visits including VIP tours

 Qualifications and skills required:

  • Previous experience as Personal Assistant and/or extensive administrative experience supporting Senior Leader/s
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Ability to work autonomously and be effective in managing competing deadlines ensuring tasks and requests are prioritised accordingly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to maintain confidentiality
