About the role
We are looking for a LME Planner to join our diverse Maintenance Planning & Engineering team to create and manage executable work orders aligned to the maintenance strategy, asset condition, business and long-term plans and monitor planned vs actual costs.
Reporting to the Maintenance Planning & Engineering Superintendent, you will :
Review internal and external labour, and equipment available capacity
Review material availabilities and status
Develop draft/first cut maintenance schedule (critical path*, task interactions, labour requirements, materials, shared equipment and tooling) for review
Engage and arrange external contractors / suppliers (Generalist/Top-up) and maintain availabilities (CR12)
Confirm and lock shared equipment required for scheduled period
Confirm any schedule loss events are aligned to the planned events, and update key stakeholders on any exceptions.
Confirm material and update delivery location and trigger expediting of parts where required
View resource utilisation and schedule loading are within targets
Liaise with execution leaders to confirm upcoming resource availability
Identify critical issues - approvals, major lead time items, cores, resources, accommodation etc.
Collects and collates work management data for review and identification of improvement actions to no identified planning issues.
Re-schedule uncompleted task / operation (include following rescheduling of cores process) from current maintenance week (due to no identified planning issues).
Closeout any raised Contractor requirements including invoicing and payments in consolation with the execution team
Review approved notifications, allocating initial priority for non-urgent tasks and provide feedback to Originator on Status of the Notification (WFIN, RJCL)
Detail planning of work orders and assign resource required for approved non-urgent work
Review maintenance history, damage, cause, functional failure to ensure accurate data capture and updates are provided by maintenance team where appropriate
Initiate Warranty and Repairable/Rotable process
Identify any potential scope conflict and repackage the activities, amending duration of required down-time when necessary
Facilitate cost performance review meeting with cost centre owners
Provide input to Specialist Planner in alignment with quarterly budget planning & reforecasting process
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Current " C Class" WA Drivers License
Experience in maintenance planning / scheduling in the mining industry i.e., light vehicles, mobile fleet or fixed plant.
Have exposure and understanding to CMMS Maintenance modules
Possess intermediate / Advanced use of MS office (Excel / Project)
Have a strong mechanical aptitude

Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth or Broome. Operational since 2002, it was the first site to be incorporated into our Mine of the Future™ programme, trialling autonomous trucks and drills that are now fully embedded into the operations. An expansion to the accommodation village, gym and recreational facilities on site offer exceptional living.
