About the Role
The Work Management Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating work plans for assigned Equipment Type / Area of Responsibility in accordance with the 1SAP Work Management Processes and the Total Equipment Strategy.
Success in the role is enabled through leveraging Work Management Processes and Systems to embed standard work in a repeatable way, facilitating a transparent, visible and detailed rolling 12-week plan, integrating Planning with Production to deliver an integrated plan.
The Work Management Planner is a critical contributor to successful delivery of sustainable performance for the business, providing a data driven baseline from which to execute, analyse and improve.
Reporting to Superintendent Planning & Asset Health, your key deliverable will include:
- Delivers a high volume of sequenced work packages to the Scheduler in accordance with planning milestones.
- Reviews Notifications and creates Work Orders for approved scopes of work.
- Plans to a high quality and considers the 12 week Rolling Major Events Calendar and relevant Total Equipment Strategies.
- Accurately resources the work packages prior to scheduling.
- Arranges specialist or external resources (where required) to support the completion of complex work.
- Creates required part demands and liaises with Inventory Planner.
- Establishes relationships with Supply and maintains regular engagement to ensure parts and materials are delivered on time.
- Monitors Parts Availability Tracker (PAT)
- Sequences work allowing for optimisation by scheduler.
- Liaises with the Asset Management Planner to understand Asset Health and allocation of work.
- Identifies opportunities for standardisation across sites.
- Increases efficiency and accuracy through repetition of tasks.
- Develops SAP Master Data to embed Standard Work Packages into Task Lists.
- Identify errors in Master Data and address inconsistency.
- Supports the automation of planning processes by proactively turning tacit knowledge into system embedded information
- Seek opportunities for AUR and ADP automation improvement
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in Planning and Scheduling processes and/or logistics and coordination will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills is essential.
- Awareness of Cost Management and Forecasting Processes.
- Ability to draw inferences from multiple data sources, to draw into a single deliverable.
- Structured work approach - values and works to routine
- System and process orientated - demonstrated experience in delivering through using standardised systems and processes
- Adaptability to continuously changing work environments.
- Ability to collaborate with peer groups and client groups to share feedback and resolve problems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Task oriented, with a bias to automation.
- Values simplification, with a systems and process focus.
Location
In this 12 months Fixed-Term position (Secondment for BHP Internal applicants), you will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.
You will be working 3 days/week on a Part-Time basis with a generous flexi work arrangement that allows you to fit work around life.
